Feed the hunger, heal with love
Everyone living at Ni Aasre Da Aasra eats three times a day, every day, without exception. The meals are cooked in our own kitchen at Village Magharpur, Yamuna Nagar, and served to every resident — the elderly, the children, the bedridden, and those still recovering from the condition they were rescued in.
This is the largest recurring cost the shelter carries, and the one thing that can never be postponed.
Nearly everyone we rescue arrives severely malnourished, and many have not eaten a full meal in weeks. Recovery from anything — tuberculosis, an infection, a wound, a psychiatric episode — is impossible without steady nutrition first. Food is not the soft part of this work. It is the foundation everything else rests on.
Many families sponsor a full day of meals to mark a birthday, an anniversary or a remembrance. We serve the meal in that person's name and send photographs from the day. Call +91 98573 66381 or write to president@sevakaro.in.
We accept wheat flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, sugar, tea, milk powder and daliya at the shelter. The current requirement list is on our Parmatma ko Chitthi page. Please call before delivering — what is short changes every week, and matching the gift to the gap makes a real difference.
